A Team is a Telegram-connected trading group with shared performance and rewards. Teams are fully synced with your Carbon account — but live on Telegram.

Each Team has:

• A leaderboard ranked by P&L, volume, and points

• Fee rebates for the Team leader (25% of net fees paid by Team members)

• Live trade and position updates via the Carbon Telegram Bot

How to Join or Create a Team

Teams can only be created or joined through Telegram, using the Carbon Terminal Bot. You don’t need a Telegram-based account to use Teams — simply:

1. Create a Carbon account using your wallet (EOA) on the WebApp.

2. Connect your Telegram from the Account page.

3. Use @carbonterminal_bot to create or join a Team.

Or:

1. Create an account on Telegram via the Carbon Bot.

Your WebApp and Telegram experience are fully synced.

What is a Team?

A Team is a team-based structure within Carbon that allows traders to group together and compete collectively on the platform. Each team is created and managed by a Team Leader, who controls membership and manages the group. Team live within Telegram Groups

How do I join a Team?

To join a Team, you must either be invited directly by a Team Leader or apply through the Carbon web application. Team Leaders have the ability to review applications and accept or decline new members. Cartels can also be open, all you need is to join the Telegram groupchat where the Team is hosted, and type /join.

Can I create my own Team?

Yes. Any user can create a Team from within a Telegram Group by adding the Carbon Bot. Upon creation, you become the Team Leader and gain access to management tools, including inviting members, removing members, and receiving fee rebates.

What are the responsibilities of a Team Leader?

A Team Leader manages the membership of their Team. This includes inviting new members, reviewing applications, and removing inactive or underperforming members. Team Leaders also receive a fee rebate based on the trading volume generated by members of their Team.

Can I leave or switch Teams?

Yes. Users are allowed to leave their current Team and join a different one. Joining a new Team still requires an invite or accepted application, unless open.

Can I be in more than one Team at the same time?

No. Users can only be a member of one Team at any given time.

Is there a limit to the number of members in a Team?

There is no fixed limit on the number of members in a Team. However, Team Leaders may voluntarily cap membership to maintain a specific team size or strategy.

What happens if I am inactive in a Team?

Team Leaders have full control over membership. If a user is inactive or not contributing meaningfully to the Team’s performance, the leader may choose to remove them from the group.

Where can I view Team rankings?

Team rankings are available on the Carbon web application and through the Telegram bot. They are updated instantly and based on the aggregate performance of Team members. Competitions run on a weekly basis.

Is there a minimum volume threshold to participate?

Yes, a Team needs to have at least $20,000 in volume to be able to win in a week. As well as having a positive PnL.
